Morpheus Trivia Question

So, we are 70 miles out from PV and just under half way to the the Panama Canal. We have another 1500 or so nautical miles to go. What would you think the course is from here to Panama??
Guess before reading below....
Surprisingly, (perhaps only to me) it's no where close to 180 degrees. In fact, it's 105 degrees. Only 15 degrees off of due East!!
