Not looking much better

Yesterday we got in one race in seven knot of wind. Another race was thrown out because the race committee lost track of time during the starting sequence. And then they cancelled the last race when we were ten minutes short of finishing.

Now today's forecast suggests we will get no racing today.

Oh we'll, one week and we are off for Bermuda!!

Hit the Road, Jack...

Deb here The time has come for Morpheus to start heading south; I'm cold! It's sad to leave Newport, our home away from home. The really good friends we reattached to and made over the last two summers are hard to leave. But, they are all scheduled to visit and I know that even if Morpheus doesn't make it back to Newport in the next 10 years, I know Him and I will!

Love to you all, and on to the next adventure.

Deb

Castle Hill

Nobody sitting in those chairs to watch us leave tonight....

Random scenes from Newport, RI

Just a day or two before we set sail and leave Newport behind.

It's clearly time, but it sure has been great using Newport as the hub of our sailing over the past two Summers.

Work Day

Our mast is out and we are replacing the standing rigging. I've been worried since breaking a diagonal shroud off of Cuba more than a year ago. Finally bit the bullet and decided it was the prudent thing to do before crossing the Atlantic!!
