Morpheus was designed by Carl Schumacher, built by Davie Norris Boatbuilders in New Zealand and launched in 2002. She spent her first 18 months cruising the South Pacific before reaching her home port of San Francisco. Since that time, Morpheus has been raced and cruised extensively. This blog will document her ongoing adventures.

Bigger is not always better
I just don't get it.
If you want to be anti social, stay on the boat all day, watch tv all night, and run all of your "hey, look at me lights", why not just stay home?? And, while I'm at it, why is it that you feel the need to run your diesel generator 24 hours a day to power all that crap, while others in the marina are trying to sleep!
Guess it's good to be you, huh??

Perhaps you should leave a few brochures and maps on their deck for cruising along the Somali coastline. I understand its quite nice there this time of year. I understand the locals will even swarm out to greet a boat like this one. A real opportunity to meet new people and explore other cultures.
ReplyDeleteI think some yacht owners tend to run their power for safety or something. We asked the guy from the boat next to ours, he said it's their boss' directive. In case of emergency, other boats coming in the middle of the night will be able to see 'em since theirs is a smaller one. But I thought they're just doing some recreational activities 'coz they're kinda loud. Anyway, whoever owns that boat, he's got a beautiful craft.
