This picture was taken just outside the Alhambra in Granada, Spain.
The Alhambra is a palace and fortress complex located in Granada, Andalusia, Spain. It was originally constructed as a fortress in 889 and later converted into a royal palace in 1333
Granada itself was really interesting. It's had a huge Muslim/Moroccan influence (current and historical). You can see this easily just by looking around at the architecture, or perhaps by walking down a street and seeing the the hookah bars sitting side by side with the Spanish tapas bars and restaurants.
I'd be happy to return and spend another day or two.
Fascinating,
Jim Gregory
